Me, Ana and Dave decided to go somewhere to the mountains. To relax, enjoy the nature and clear our minds. But before we left the city and just right outside of it I took some nice pictures of the sky. It was 8:50am. We were on the way to drop Ana's son to his school. Sun was rising behind large amounts of clouds. That was really great view! Good morning Inverness!
We drove to the hill which calls Meall Fuar-mhonaidh. Very weird and difficult to pronounce name. It's around one hour from Inverness by car.
This hill is on the west side of Loch Ness Lake at 699 m in height. Usually climbed from small village next to the Drumnadrochit. There is a footpath which goes through woods, then out onto smallest hills. This path climb south-west along the ridge of Meall Fuar-mhonaidh to the top.
We walked up the hill almost two hours. Hmmm... I can't actually say that we were walking, we were running more than walking or maybe I would say it was very very very fast walk. But we all enjoyed that. It was quite hard training for me. Before we rich the top I really could feel my legs. I don't remember when I walked so far up the hill last time.
Weather in this country is very unstable. They said we are going to have occasional showers, so we expected that it's going to be wet and grey. But as you see at the pictures above the weather was really great! No rain just Sun and some clouds. Everything was perfect. Very windy at the top but because was quite warm wind wasn't so unbearable. We felt like three parachutes as we couldn't stay in one place. You could almost lean at the wind like Ana and Dave did :)
We walked back down in one hour. Half of way in silence. Everybody was so focused on their path to not fall as it was quite slippery. I got some fresh air. Felt so good. Ready to work! When we got back to the car Dave said: We even didn't seat once. No, I set when I fell. So we all agreed that was a great trip! Thanks guys ;)
