Spiritual transformation - Photo Shoot

Over a week ago I organised a photo shoot with Ana at the old house subberbian here in Inverness, Scotland.

Screen from backstage movie.
Before it happened we were talking about our current thoughts related to the transformation of unconscious life, in which we are far away from ourselves, away from connecting with our body, life energy, or God. Many of us live in such unconscious years or even all lifetime not asking our self important existential questions. I think we just don't want to or don't understand the meaning to get closer ourselves, where in my opinion is an enormous love. When we get the awareness that not only the outside world is important in our lives we directed our attention towards ourselves, our needs, interests, faith and everything that brings us closer to this, we feel happier but also responsible for our life. We note the importance of our existence and ourselves. In various sciences and religions called it differently: salvation, enlightenment, the end of suffering, calm but it was always about to wake up from the unconscious of our mind.

Often, but not always to such an awakening comes through dramatic life experience. Sometimes it is also the presence of other people, trip, read the book or just the desire to change our life. But usually there is some impulse to push us to this transformation. So there are two sides with some impulse/step between them. That's what I wanted to do in my last photo shoot.

This is the final result. Larger photos below the post.

We had available old big house where no one lived since a year. We organized with Ana two girls who were our models and James to help, which also made a very cool video from backstage. Yupi! We went to this old home a few days before the photo shoot to look inside and decide which rooms we will use for pictures. We wanted to bring some life into this house, and let the girls play a bit there. So these three main threads that I wanted to picture took place on a playground two girls at different stages of life.

Ana prepared a whole styling, we were fully ready when the day before the photo shoot we find out that due to the fact that the house has just been sold we can use it only for 3 hours! We panicked a little that we will not have enough time to do everything. In the end makeup, styling, putting up equipment and photograph three shots in three different rooms is no small challenge for 3h work! As we started at 9 am and the girls arrive from out of town, we couldn’t meet them earlier on makeup to be ready at 9am. So on the evening before the session I drew a plan where exactly I'll be taking pictures and in what positions and shots I'd like to shoot girls who have never had anything to do with modeling before.

In the photo shoot day we get in the house and everyone took up his job. Ana started doing make-up and styling, James had set studio lighting and I was preparing my equipment. We had three hours so we all do one's best to work fast.

40minut before the end, when we started to get ready for the third and final frame housekeeper came home and gave us to understand that we should end right now. How so?!?! How come?!?! They should be 3 hours! If I knew that we have less than 3hrs I could plan everything in different way, or at least did not hold the concept of three frames with three steps. What would I do right now without a last picture.

But the action rolled up incredibly fast. I didn’t even know when it all happened because I had the impression that Ana and James were still with me helping. Of course, they were with me and helped me but in the meantime James recorded us at work over the last shoot, cleaned the mess in the rooms downstairs from previous frames, Ana corrected make-up and hair and the same time was already packed with toiletries and clothes outside. Before I finished last shoot they cleaned the mess we left it at all the rooms. And it was not just the cables and junks. We moved furniture there, sofas, rugs and lamps! And it all happened in 10-15 minutes when I was finishing the last frame. At the end quickly with James bring to order the last room, talked for a moment with a housekeeper and when I went downstairs to grab my stuff there was nothing to do because everything was clean and done :)

The team was very organized, super-fast action, less than two hours of photoshoots and different results. Of course, beyond the three important frames I also did even a few others. And to all this we have a great video of James King production! Awesome! Have a look:

I began to read the Bible lately so I found there also inspirations for this shoot. I'll probably find there even more inspirations for next photo shoot :)

More shoots here. Thank you all!
