Last walk at Inverness

My last walk at Inverness was long and lonely. It was sunny day which at this time of year is rare. It was lovely and peaceful. The whole town probably still rested after the Christmas fever.

Except cogitation and a summary of last year, I also admired the local architecture and I wondered if I could ever live here. All houses are completely different than those in Poland. First of all they are much smaller. The tiny little rooms, thin walls and what struck me most extremely small windows. I thought that we have small windows in ours Polish houses but here they are so small that most of the time is really dark inside.

There is also lack of space. Many houses arranged next to each other along the streets in the crowd. They are taller than wide. It didn't give me as much comfort as our Polish flats.

I'm in Scotland for the second time and once  again the weather scares me off. Last time I was here by late fall so I couldn't complain at the lack of rain and sunshine as it is now. From the beginning this city seemed gloomy and suburbs dark and sad. However over time, especially during the 4 hours journey to the airport this place captivated me with its originality. So far I judge it by colours and weather. But today I saw that what is fantastic about the place is shapes. Hills, trees, lines horizons, views, arrangement of houses on the street and the whole architecture. I still paid attention to the colours, but today I saw exactly what make this place beautiful. It is just amazing! Like the town of fairy elves. In the city you can see standalone houses with unusual (for me polish girl) architecture. There is no houses here which looks like square cubes as we have in Poland. If you see standalone house it looks more like a small palace.

I definitely can say that Scotland is beautiful. Although I haven't seen Scotland at its best period I already really like it. Now I know that I would definitely return here in the summer to see the place with even more beautiful side. But I come here not only to nature, would definitely come back here to the people who I met here and who have endowed me with great warmth. Im leaving this place now and I can say I am deeply happy with my five-week presence here. Although it wasn't very easy time for me I can say this trip taught me a lot and because of this I derive great joy. Im amazingly glad I could be here and experience everything that I have encountered here.
Now it's time for Dublin!
